I'm a Gorilla- Get me in the Jungle!!

After a brush with being a local Z list celeb, or to normal people a small article in the Ely Standard (Thanks Ely Standard!!!!) and my photo on the Ely Archers website (Thanks Guys!!!). Its all gone to my head so I have decided that my Gorilla self is going to be a beauty queen for the Gorilla Run and I've crowned myself Miss Gorilla UK 2008 and have a sash to prove it - cool or what.

The only downside is that rather than racing round London at top gorilla speed, trying to break the record for a beauty queen gorilla runner in the process I may be a bit slower due to injuring my back - yes it's not just a problem in the human world it happens to the best of Gorilla's too. I guess I'll have to wait for the Gorilla Olympics to get set the world record for gorilla running beauty queens.

I'm loving the 50 Cent Gorilla, so much better than Phil Collins or that other one they have out now

For some Gorilla's its all work and no play .....

For some poor Gorilla's (like me) life is full of work rather than play.

First off after a quick cup of tea and catch up on the latest happenings in the wild, its straight to work with the washing and ironing, followed by a spot of cleaning.

Now you would think that would be all a Gorilla needed to do before hanging out with some Gorilla buddies but no - now its off to the 9-5 day job.

Only one problem with that - Gorilla's can't drive - DOH!!!

My Furry Family

I'd like to introduce you all to my fur wearing family.

Before there are any gasps of horror, all fur pictured is either grown by the wearer (in the case of Louise and Mr Socks) or is fake (guaranteed by the Gorilla Organisation!!).

Here I am pictured with Mr Socks, he doesn't seem to care that his formerly human carer has turned into a gorilla.

Louise on the other hand was a bit more reluctant to say Hi.

First off she tried to leg it round the garden, so off I go chasing her. Belive me not an easy task, this gorilla can't see very well out of the small eye holes and has trouble with the large gorilla feet flapping around!!!

She finally gives in and lets me say hello, but then she seems much more interested in her new found ability

to nose over the fence into the neighbours garden and have a look at what they're up to or if there are any birds for her to chase than she is in being held by me in a gorilla suit.

The big question now is, who do I enter into the Pet of the Year contest, Mr Socks, Louise or Me?

Coming soon.
............... .............................a morning in the life of a gorilla...........and.......................my first run in the suit

Great News (and drizzle!!)

Great News
The City of Ely Council, have decided to let me loose in Ely (as a Gorilla) collecting money for the Gorilla's on Saturday 16th August - banana's ahoy!!!!

Drizzle

Today was going to be my first practice running in the Gorilla suit but it's raining :-( and this ape doesn't like running in the rain so no practice. So instead I've booked a practice race - 1st June in Cambridge, keep your fingers crossed!

Its my Gorilla birthday!

This whole blog is the stuff I'm going to get up to dressed as a Gorilla. No I'm not completely mad, I've entered the Great Gorilla Run 2008 to raise money for the Gorilla Organisation by running round London town in September dressed as a Gorilla (along with a whole bunch of other people in Gorilla suits!!)

The suit arrived today , so what better to do than put it straight on and get out there in the garden and sunbathe!!

I have no idea if Gorilla's really sunbathe. Anyway, after all the sunbathing, time for a snack.

Hmmm nothing beats a tasty banana.
I don't know if you noticed, but at the minute my Gorilla self is naked!! I want to dress up (even more) when I'm running, I can't decide who to dress up as so please help me out by voting on which costume you think would be the most fun for me to run in.
Now after all that work, off to the neighbours for a cup of tea.
